Jamorama Review

There is a lot of hype going on about this product. If you've been to guitar related sites a few times before, chances are you have heard about it. Speculations about Jamorama being a scam are nothing more than rumors. Jamorama is an extensive introduction to the wide world of guitar. Perfect for a beginner, useful for the intermediate player, but not for the professional. Jamorama is especially amusing for those who are struggling and losing fun in guitar playing. At the beginning and in the intermediate stages of guitar playing the biggest mistake you can do is to lose interest. Usually the factor responsible for this mindset is boring lessons. That is why Jamorama is packed with games and play-along jam tracks for all styles. The content is well structured and comes in form of text (pdf), audio as well as video. Videos and diagrams are showing right and left hand positions simultaneously so you can clearly imitate the strumming pattern and finger movement at the same time. If anyone were to follow this course and practice the material regularly, they would develop a pretty solid intermediate guitar playing foundation. Overall, a great method to learn how to play guitar, at a reasonable cost. Refund policy is set at 60 days which makes this purchase risk-free if you are not satisfied.

PROS:

  • Lessons are supported by 400 audio files, 84 video files, and 16 jam tracks
  • Helpful staff and quick email support
  • Games cover chord identification
  • Lessons for pitch recognition help you fine tune your ear

CONS:

  • Lacking lead guitar techniques for the advanced player
  • Software can't record your performance or execute repetition looping for easier learning

I've never used it but they lose me with the endless blurb and spiel. It's insulting! As though they are saying, "We know you have endless spare time so we are going to use most of it up, selling you a product which is exactly the same as 500 other available products, but ours is better!"

If you are not cynical and dismissive of marketing, then stay off the Internet! It's just a shark pool!

What's the bizarre Amajor fingering? I use about 6 different A majors.

This post was more or less just to test something in the search engines, don't worry bout it too much. It's okay, but there are way better products.

I have it. It's nothing special. I wouldn't recommend actually paying for it.
