Hi!
What's your favorite Hendrix Song?
Mine is definetly All Along The Watchtower, although it's not really "his" song.

It's the same as you would say that "where did you sleep last night" is your favorite nirvana song

ahahahahahahahaha
I had a teacher that scatted like this !!!!!!! ahahahaahahaha
I really want to tell you his name, and elaborate on this a little, because he was pretty funny and I have some good stoies about him, but I don't want to possibly embarrass him, or compromise my own anonymity. But I think that someone from the Pittsburgh area who is a fan of PBS children's television shows might have a clue.
But I should say this about him too, although he had some peculiar habits, he was/is a phenomenal jazz player and GREAT teacher, and he's a highly intelligent and serious person. But obviously doesn't mind compromising his image to make a point to students, or maybe he just isn't aware... .

Did he wear a hat and sunglasses and sing things like 'ain't misbehavin' while playing an acoustic doing those gypsy jazz type chords? If so I know who your talking about but I can't for the life of me remember his name.

I used to like U2 until they did All Along the Watchtower. Their famous version is live. And in it, they add to the lyric, and what they add is this:
All I've got
is this red guitar,
three chords,
And the Truth.
Who the Hell thinks they can change a Dylan lyric? Bono? That's not right. It's just ...it's disrespectful. You just don't change a Dylan lyric. And if anyone doesn't already understand why, then the song probably isn't that big a deal to you anyway. I wonder what Dylan thought about that particular lyric. ahahahaha Hendrix was a HUGE Dylan fan, I wonder what he would have thought about that.. .
And what Bono added was the most pretentious bullshit, too. He has to be embarrassed by that, if he even gets embarrassed at all. Anybody that claims to have the Truth....doesn't. This is a rule. Learn it. Live it.
Furthermore, that's not all he had. He forgot about the $10 mil he had in the bank. Bono has got to be the poster child of 80s self-righteous self-importance. And he never grew out of it.
Good God, did he even understand the song? Adding that lyric was like buying Falling Water and putting Pink Flamingoes on the lawn. No taste.(ehm...does it have a lawn?)
If I ever meet Bono, the first thing I'm going to say is, " You know, bro, adding that lyric to 'All Along the Watchtower' was pretty *lollipoped* up."
Nothing personal, u22u. They're obviously a very good band and all that, and I don't mean to offend anyone..

No doubt Little Wing. First song by Jimi I heard and I still love it. Sure that solo at the end could've been better, but the intro is so damn good it makes the whole song brilliant. It's also a very cool and fun song to play.
2. All Along the Watchtower - superb lyrics and very nice rythm
3. Hey Joe - Cool 'bluesy' sound and the lyrics reminds me of the old times
"I wouldn't say that I'm the greatest guitarist ever. I'd say probably that I'm the greatest guitarist sitting in this chair." - Hendrix, J
Peace out,
