How can you make a LEAD guitarist play slowly?

It is a fact that about 80% of all guitarists can't actually play a musical score. Most guitarists only play tabs or play without reading notes at all. I once was this type of a guitarist and learned how to read a score through experience. I am in a marching band and in my school's orchestra. I also have my own band. So, to keep it up with all these, and especially the marching band, you have to know how to read scores. And that's how I learned to read music.

I can read notation, but notation is an imperfect system for guitar. The guitar is a paradoxical instrument not a linear instrument. Also, the cello had a version of tab developed for it about 300 years ago, because of the same unison-interval problems we face on guitar, however, it got shot down much in the same way today, the "old school" of thought prevails with notation and guitar. There is some value to it (learning the timing), but other than proving you can do it, tabs are better for guitar.
Good joke though!

I agree with the both of you. Most guitarist doesn't really play notes or they don't intend to study how to read them. I am also in a guitar class at our school of almost all of us can't read notes for that matter.
